The people behind DOT Glasses have decades of international experience from the corporate, management consulting, entrepreneurial and non-profit sectors. But mostly, they're passionate about the DOT Glasses mission.
Mr. Joyanta Roy has over thirty years of experience of working in the research and development sector in Bangladesh. Mr. Roy is the co-founder and chairman of a front line organization – Capacity Building Service Group (CBSG) specialized in capacity building and organizational development, survey and research, and ICT for development. Since its inception, CBSG has successfully accomplished over 250 assignments with the government of Bangladesh, UN agencies, different donor agencies, INGOs, for-profit commercial companies and business associations.
Lately, Mr. Roy has ventured a new social business of providing one-stop services of office supplies, educational aid and accessories through an ecommerce platform - https://penrpencil.com/. Providing such services through online is the first time in Bangladesh, and under-privileged meritorious students have also been provided scholarships for supporting their education as part of the venture.
Mr. Roy holds a postgraduate degree in Statistics with a major in Econometrics from University of Dhaka and has been trained in the USA, Canada, and Bangladesh. Before starting his business venture in 2003, he served many international development organizations for more than two decades including Swiss agency for Development Cooperation, Aga Khan Foundation and Enfants Du Monde. Mr. Roy has also provided consultancy services internationally including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Philippines and India.
